Open Microsoft Access 2003. |

Open 1-5 Sample from the Exercise
Files folder.

We’ve created a new macro for you. Let’s
open it with the Visual Basic Editor.
Switch to the database window and click
Macros.
Select Macro 1.

Click the Tools
menu, click Macro, and click
Visual Basic Editor.

The Visual Basic Editor
will open. Feel free to click through the menus and the options;
close the editor when you are
done.

Drag the Macro
Group to any spot on the toolbar.

Now, click Macro 1
and click Design.

Click the Macro
Names button ( ) on the
Macro Design toolbar.
Enter ^q for the Macro Name.

Click the File
menu and click Save As.
Name the macro AutoKeys.
Click OK.

Close the
macro window.
Using the database window, switch to
Contacts Form view.

Press Ctrl
and Q and see what happens.

Save your
database as 1-5 Completed.
