Lesson 2.2: Records

   

 

In this exercise you will add some employees to your Warner Cousins database, edit a phone number, delete a record, and then print your Employees table.

 

1.                   

Open Lesson 2.2 from the Section 2 folder of the Exercise Files.

 

 

 

2.                   

Open the Database window and click on the Tables object.

Double-click the Employees table to open it in Datasheet view.

 

 

 

3.                   

Click the Make a New Record navigation button at the bottom of the Employees table window.

 

 

4.                   

Enter the following information. Remember you can use the Tab key to move to the next field:

Bad news from the Sunshine State – Walt Dizzy has been found out! Delete his Employee record by clicking the grey box beside his record and press Delete on your keyboard.

Click File à Page Setup. Click the Page tab in the Page Setup dialog box and click the Landscape radio button.

 

 

Click OK.

 

 

8.                   

Click File à Print Preview to see the document.

 

 

9.                   

Click File à Print and then click OK in the Print dialog box to print the document.

 

 

10.               

Close Microsoft Access 2003.
