Click OK to make the new folder on your computer. The My Computer dialogue box will then open the new folder you just made. To create a new file, move the mouse pointer to an empty white space inside the My Computer dialogue box and click the right-mouse button. A menu will appear:
If you point to the New option in the right-click menu, you will see a list of available file types you can create. Then, left-click an item to create a new object in the current folder. (Note that the right-click menu on your computer might contain more or less icons in the New option depending on what programs are currently installed.) To rename an object first click the object you want to rename once in order to select it. Click Tools à Rename. The current object name will become highlighted; simply type a new name for the object and then press Enter on your keyboard to apply the name:
To delete an object using the My Computer dialogue box, click the object you want to delete and then click the delete icon (X) in the dialogue box or press the Delete key on your keyboard. The My Computer dialogue box also lets you cut, copy, and paste an object or group of objects. Select the object(s) you want to cut or copy, right-click on the object(s), and click Cut or Copy from the right-click menu that will appear. To paste in a current folder, right-click on any empty white space inside the dialogue box and click Paste from the right-click menu.
