Create a new file in the
Getting Started page of the Task Pane.
Click
Blank
database from the New File page
of the Task Pane:

When the File New
Database dialogue box (aka My Computer dialogue box) appears,
click the
My Documents
button in the My Places toolbar:

Click the
New
Folder button ( ) in the
dialogue box and name it
My
Database.
Click
OK. |

At the bottom of the
File New Database dialogue box, click in the
text
box beside File name: and type
My Sample Database.
Click the
Create
button.

A new window will appear
in Access, the My Sample Database window. We will use this
database and the Northwind sample database to experiment with as
we progress through this manual.
