Sample Databases

Northwind Sample Database.

OK
to close the splash screen and then
close
the Main Switchboard. |

Database Utilities

Compact and Repair Database.
Wait a moment for the
compaction to complete.

Once compaction has
completed, the database will quickly close and reopen.
Click
File
à
Back Up Database.

When the Save Backup As
dialogue box appears, click the
My
Documents button in the My
Places toolbar. Double-click the
My
Database folder and give the
backup the name
Northwind_Backup:
Click
Save. |

The database will once
again close and reopen.
Click

Database Properties. |

Click the
Summary tab at the top of the
Northwind Properties dialogue box and type
