Lesson 1.3: Saving Your Files

   

 

 

We know from the previous lesson that a database has properties that can be modified. In turn, each object in the database has its own properties as well.

For example, if you select a database object in the Database window and click View à Properties, the Employees Properties window appears:

 

You can add a comment describing the data that is contained in the table or list some other distinct or important features about this table. You can also hide the particular object if it is set up properly and you don’t want anyone to modify it by clicking the Hidden check box.

To show a hidden item, click Tools à Options. Click the View tab, and check the Hidden objects checkbox. Any hidden items will be shown in the database with a dimmed icon. Click the dimmed object, click View àProperties, and uncheck the Hidden checkbox.
