SECTION 3
Lesson 3.3: Formatting A Form

We know that the font, style, size, and colour can be changed for essentially every element in a form. However, imagine that you have decided to change the font of every control in a form. It would take a very long time to adjust each one by hand. Fortunately, Access allows you to use the format from one object and apply it to every other object in the form.

For example, if you wanted to change the format of the Vehicles form, open the form in Design view. Apply the formatting you like to one object of the form:

Click the element you changed to select it, then double-click the Format Painter () on the Form Design toolbar.

Then simply click each object you want to apply the formatting:

When you have finished using the Format Painter, click the icon once more to turn it off. If you only want to use the Format Painter once, select the object containing the formatting you want to copy and click the Format Painter icon once.
