If you receive an e-mail protected by information rights management, you must install the information rights management client to view it. (You will be prompted to do so when you open the message.) You cannot view the message until the information rights management client is installed.

 

You will also be informed via an info bar that the message is protected. As well, editing, forwarding, and printing features will be disabled.
