Lesson 3.4: Information Management Features

   

 

 

1.

Make sure Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 is open.

 

 

2.

Open a new mail message.

 

 

3.

Click the permissions button () on the toolbar.

 

 

4.

Click Yes to the warning. Download and install Information Rights Management.

 

 

5.

Once you are back to the new mail message, click the Permissions button on the toolbar again.

 

 

6.

Walk through the wizard to create your certificate.

 

 

7.

In the new mail message, click the File menu and click Permissions. Click Do Not Forward.

 

 

8.

Address the mail message to a partner. (Have them address their message to you.)

For the subject, type Staff Reassignment.

For the body, type Just to let you know, 85% of our staff is being let go today. You and I are safe, but you didn’t hear that from me! There will be an announcement later today

 

 

9.

Click Send.

 

 

10.

When your partner sends you a restricted message, open it to see its contents and how restrictions work.
