The
options for Internet accounts are accessed in Outlook through the Tools
menu by clicking on E-Mail Accounts. When you click E-mail Accounts,
this window will appear:
We’re
only concerned with the first two options: Add a new e-mail account, and
View or change existing e-mail accounts. When
you choose add a new e-mail account, you’ll see the figure in the first
lesson, prompting you to choose a server type. If you choose to change
an e-mail account, you will see a window with these options:
In
this window, you can change your e-mail account or even remove it. You
can also add a new account, which would bring up the same wizard we saw
in the first lesson. If you have more than one account, you can also use
the buttons in the window (seen on the right hand side) to move them up
or down in the list, or change the default account. There are also
options at the bottom to change where your mail is delivered; these will
be covered in advanced lessons. We’re
not going to get into all these options right now because you don’t
really need to know how to use them to use Outlook. This is just so you
know what types of accounts are out there and how they may affect
Outlook.
