Lesson 3.2: Using the Contacts Folder

   

 

Another great feature in Outlook is the contacts folder. A contact is a single item that stores basic information about a person, like their name, e-mail address, mailing address, and phone numbers. A contact in Outlook has dozens of fields so you can store all the information about a person in one spot.

 

To get to the contacts folder, you can:

-       Click Contacts in the Navigation Pane

-       Click the Go menu and click Contacts

-       Use the shortcut keys Ctrl + 3

 

Here’s what the contacts window looks like:

 

 

You have the same components (the main menu and the Standard toolbar) at the top. Then, you have view options in the Navigation Pane. In the main window, of course, you see your contacts. To the far right, you have letters to click on to see a certain section of your address book.
