Lesson 3.5: Using the Outlook Journal

   

 

 

As with the other folders, you’ll see a list of views in the navigation pane when you’re in the journal folder. By default, Outlook will show the journal in a timeline view (called By Type). The other views are pretty self-explanatory; you can see your journal entries sorted by contact, category, type of entry (e-mail message, phone call, etc), phone calls only, or those created in the last seven days. Here’s an example of the journal folder using the Entry List view:

 

 

As well, you can also click on the column headers (circled in red at the top) to sort by different categories.
