You
can click on the Signatures button in the Mail Format window to open the
Create Signature wizard (which is pictured on the left). In this new
window, you’ll have the option to create a new signature. If you already
have signatures set up, they will be listed in the white box. (You must
click on the signature for the Edit and Remove buttons will become
available.) If
you click on the New button, Outlook will show you the screen pictured
below.
The first step of creating a new signature looks like this:

Once
you’ve filled out the information, you can click Next.
The
next box will give you a spot to type your information. (This is the
same window you would have seen if you had chosen a signature and
clicked the Edit button in the very first screen of the Create Signature
wizard.) All you have to do is type your text in the large white box.
You can use the Font button to choose font style, size, and colour, or
to set an underline effect. You can also use the Paragraph button to
align your text to the left, right, or in the center, or to use bullets.
The clear button will clear whatever text you have entered. If
you click on the Advanced Edit button, Microsoft Office Word 2003 will
open so you can create an HTML file or use other advanced editing
features, like inserting pictures. (We’re not going to go over these
options as they are all within Word.) You
can also use the Edit Signature window shown above to attach a vCard
(which is like a virtual business card) to your signature. The easiest
way to do this is create a contact file for yourself in your contacts
folder before you create your signature. Then, click the New vCard from
Contact button, select yourself, click Add, then click OK. Once
you’re done editing your signature, click the Finish button. This will
take you back to the Create Signature window. Click OK once more to go
back to the Mail Format window, and once more to go back to Outlook.
That’s all there is to creating your very own signature!
