We’re going to set up a sample e-mail account. This account won’t work, so ignore any error messages you get.
1.
Make sure Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 is open.
Click on the Tools menu and click E-mail Accounts.

Make sure the dot is next to Add a New E-Mail Account and click Next.

Click IMAP and click Next.

Here’s the information for all of the fields in this window:
Your Name: John Doe
E-Mail Address: johnd@e-mail.com
User Name: johnd
Incoming mail server: imap.e-mail.com
Outgoing mail server: smtp.e-mail.com
(Leave the password field blank)

Click Next and then Finish.

Click on the Tools menu, choose Send/Receive, choose Send/Receive Settings, and click Disable Scheduled Send/Receive.

Click on Tools and click E-mail Accounts. This time, put the dot in “View or change Existing E-mail Accounts.” Click Next.
8.
Click on the e-mail.com account in the large white window on the left to highlight it. Click Remove.
9.
Click Finish.
