You can only operate these features with the Language toolbar. In the bottom right hand side toolbar, you will see a language icon , this icon will open the speech and handwriting toolbar. The Language toolbar displays the Language it is set to, the status of the microphone (on or off), it will display the current mode of recognition e.g. Command, speech, dictation; and the tools menu. Handwriting has an additional toolbar with commands for any writing task.
