There are two ways to open an existing presentation: from your hard drive and from PowerPoint itself. When opening a document from your hard drive you must navigate to the presentation manually.

 

 

Or, you can click the File menu and click Open to find your presentation. You can also access presentations from the list at the bottom of the File menu.
