When working with charts, Microsoft Graph will automatically create a legend for you. You are not limited to that particular legend; you may change the legend in the Format Legend dialog box.

To open the dialog, right-click the legend and click Format Legend:

 

 

Then, you can change the font, pattern, and placement of the legend.

 

 

You can also hide the legend by clicking the Legend icon ().
