Once PERT has been calculated, you can view the various scenarios using the buttons on the PERT Analysis toolbar. For example, here’s the most optimistic scenario for our project:

 

 

And here’s the most pessimistic scenario:

 

 

Note that in both cases, the task entry fields have changed to show you the duration, start, and finish dates for that scenario. In our project, the dates only vary by a few days, but those days could be crucial for getting the project to the printer on time.
