Lesson 3.2: Earned Value Analysis

   

 

Viewing Earned Value Analysis Tables

 

You can view EVA for either tasks or resources; just make sure you’re in the task or resource sheet. (For our purposes, we’ll stick with viewing the EVA for tasks.) Then, click the View menu, click Table, and click More Tables. Now, you can choose one of the three EVA tables.

 

 

Here’s an overview of the three tables.

 

Earned Value

An overview of work, cost, schedules, and estimates.

Earned Value Cost Indicators

Focuses on cost budgets, variances, and estimates.

Earned Value Schedule Indicators

Focuses on schedule budgets and variances.

 

Here’s a sample of the basic Earned Value table.

 

 

You can see that many fields for tasks occurring beyond the status date of May 1 have a value of zero because they have not been calculated.
