Open Microsoft Project

Open 3-2 Sample
from the Sample Files folder.

First, let’s set our
status date. Click the
Project menu
and click
Project Information.

Choose
May 15
for the Status Date.
Click
OK.

Click the
View
menu, choose
Table, and click
More Tables.

In the More Tables
dialog, click
Earned Value and click
Apply.

Scroll through the table
and look at the different fields. Note that the fields for the
tasks after the status date have zeroes in them.

Let’s put our Earned
Value data into a more readable form.
Click the
View
menu and click
Reports.

Choose
Costs
and click
Select.
 |

Click
Earned Value
and click
Select.

If you have a printer,
click Print.
If not, just click
Close.

Close the Reports dialog. |

Save your project as 3-2
Completed.
