Updating your resource pool is easy. First, close all projects that are linked to it. Then, open the resource pool. You will see this dialog:

In order to make changes, you will have to choose the second option: open the resource pool read-write. Once the file is open with these privileges you can add the new information and save it. The next time that the linked project is opened, its resource sheet will be updated.
