If you decide you don’t want a project linked to a resource pool, click the Tools menu, choose Resource Sharing, and click Share Resources. Then, in the Share Resources dialog, choose Use Own Resources.

The sharer file (your main project) will go back to its original state. The resource pool, however, will keep the resources it gained from the main file.
