Task panes have been
significantly improved in Project 2003. They can be a great help when
setting up your project and for entering information. They open on the
left hand side of your screen and stay there as you work. Here’s a
closer look at the Getting Started task pane:

Navigation (2) |
Use the

button if you get lost. |
|
Task pane links (3) |
These links
will take you to the Microsoft Web site. This is a great
resource for help, training, and news. |
|

If you need
help, type your question in here and click Go. The results will
appear in the task pane. |
|
Task pane links (5) |
These links
will allow you to open previously saved documents. |
You can also move
the task pane; just place your cursor in its corner until your cursor
turns into a double-headed arrow. Then, hold down your left mouse button
and drag the task pane.
