Lesson 2.1: Converting Publications

   

 

 

This small but effective exercise will begin our venture into creating web publications. Learning how to convert publications from print to web and vice versa is the first step in publishing Web sites. In this lesson we will be using Lesson 2.1 and lesson 2.1B.

 

Begin by opening Lesson 2.1.

 

1.

Go to File and select Convert to a Web Publication.

 

 

 

2.

Select Yes at the first screen.

 

 

 

3.

Select Next.

 

 

4.

The Wizard then asks if you wish to add a navigation bar; select No.

 

 

 

5.

Select Finish.

 

 

6.

Publisher converts the publication and displays it in Web mode.

 

 

 

 

7.

Open Lesson 2.1B.

 

 

 

8.

Lesson 2.1B was created as a web publication.

 

Go to File, select Convert to Print Publication.

 

 

 

9.

Check Yes, to save the web publication before converting.

 

 

 

10.

Select Finish

11.

Publisher will convert the Web publication into Print mode.

 

 

 

12.

Save Publication as Lesson 2.1 – completed.
