Lesson 5.1: Creating Catalogue Merges

   

 

 

In this lesson we will complete a catalogue merge using the Mail and Catalogue merge wizard.

 

Begin by opening Lesson 5.1.

 

1.

Go to Tools, highlight Mail and Catalogue Merge, and select Mail and Catalogue Merge Wizard.

 

 

 

2.

Select Catalogue Merge.

 

 

 

3.

Select Browse.

 

 

 

4.

Locate Data Source.

 

 

 

5.

Select Open.

 

 

6.

Select OK.

 

 

 

7.

Select OK.

 

 

 

 

 

8.

Select Next: Create your template.

 

 

 

9.

Highlight Name, Insert as Text.

 

 

 

10.

Highlight Photo, Insert as Picture.

 

 

 

11.

Repeat step 9 for remaining data fields.

 

 

12.

Arrange each data field as shown below.

 

 

 

13.

Select Next: Preview.

 

 

 

14.

Double click on the Photo text box area.

 

 

 

15.

Locate photo for that record.

 

 

16.

Select arrows to preview next record.

 

 

 

17.

Insert each photo for each record.

 

 

18.

When finished, select Next: Complete the merge.

 

 

 

19.

Select Create new Publication.

 

 

 

20.

Select each photo area and insert photos.

 

 

 

21.

Apply any formatting or special effects as desired.

 

 

 

22.

Save as Lesson 5.1 – Completed.
