The fill colour feature can be applied to any shape. The fill colour icon provides an arrow for you to apply basic, custom, and creative fill effects to your shape. Under More Colours you will come to the basic (standard) and custom colour palettes. Under Fill Effects you will find texture and unique fill options. To change the fill colour, select the shape and choose another colour from the colour palette.
