The first task we want
to perform is removing the outer edges of the picture.
Select the
picture and select
Crop from the Picture
toolbar.  |

Cropping handles will
position themselves on the picture. Select the
top right handle, drag
handle towards the middle to remove outer edges.

Release cursor.

With the picture
selected, adjust picture
brightness using more and
less brightness.

Select the
Format Picture icon,
located on the Picture toolbar. |

Select
Recolour.

Note:
In the image control section, you can see the amount of contrast
and brightness applied to the picture. |

Select
Colour; here we can
re-colour a picture or clip art as well as preview the picture
before applying it to the publication.

Just to see the result,
select any colour, and then click
Apply.

Select
Restore Original Colours,
and OK. |

Go to
Colours and Lines to apply
a line border. |

In the Line section,
select the Colour options arrow.

Select a
border colour for our
picture
Note:
For noticeable borders on darker pictures, select a lighter
colour for the line border. |

Go to
Line Style; because this
is a large picture select 4.5 pt.
for line width.
 |

|
|
15. |
Select
OK.
