To create a new embedded objects are created from the publication, select Object from the Insert menu. In the last lesson we selected Create from File, but when creating new embedded objects we will choose the type of document from the Create New list. The Create New list contains documents such as Excel worksheets and graphs, PowerPoint slides and presentations, Word documents, and media clips. (The list will vary depending on the programs installed on your computer.) Once you have made your selection the program’s window will open for you to create the document. When finished, click outside the publication.
