The mail wizard task pane opens with the option for mail merge or a catalogue merge. At the bottom of the task pane, the wizard notifies you of the next step needed to complete the mail merge, along with Help options for the Mail and Catalogue Merge. For now we will be focusing on the Mail Merge. For more information on the Catalogue Merge see the Advanced level course.
