Welcome to Windows XP! If you’re new to Windows XP then this lesson will provide you with the bare-bones knowledge you will need to be able to use and configure Windows XP. In this lesson we will be covering simple topics that will help novice users learn the basics. We will be teaching you how to logon to your desktop and we will provide an explanation of the desktop layout and its functions. You will also learn how to use your mouse, right and left click (with optional wheel), drag and drop, and how to use other features. As well, you’ll learn how to use your keyboard to assist you with everyday functions. We will also be covering how to use your start menu and other menus that you will interact with. Finally, we’ll cover topics such as the taskbar, adjusting your sound, time and date, and shutdown options (which include shutting down, restarting, logging off, and switching users).
