Opening and Closing a Window

As you may have learned earlier, when you open an application, file, or folder (represented by an icon), the item will open in a window.

 

To open a Window use one of the following methods, you can double-click a desired icon (such as a Microsoft Word document), or right-click on the desired icon and select Open.

 

 

 

 

Closing a window shuts down a program, file or folder. To close a window, you can select the Close button on the Title Bar, click the Control menu icon on the top left portion of the Title Bar and click Close, or right-click on any part of the Title Bar and click Close.
