Have your desktop loaded
with no applications open. |

Right click on the
taskbar and click
Lock the Taskbar to uncheck
it.

Click on a blank area of
the taskbar and drag it to
the right
side of your screen.

Right click on the
taskbar and click
Lock
the
Taskbar to check it.

Right click on the
taskbar and select
Properties.

Click the
Customize button for Hide
Inactive Icons.

Set the
Volume item to
Always
Show.

OK button in the Customize
Notification window.

OK button in the Taskbar and

Start Button and select
Properties.

Items section, check the radio button under
