Although ClipArt can search the online collections, you can also go to the Office Web site to download pictures. This can be useful if you have a dial-up or non-permanent Internet connection.
To get to the Office Web site, you can click the Clip Art on Office Online link in the task pane. Or, you can open your favourite Internet browser. Then, type http://office.microsoft.com/clipart. You will see the Office Online Clip Art site. A sample is below; remember, however that Web sites change all the time.
Click on any of the links, or use the search feature, to find the image or the collection that you want. A page with checkboxes will be displayed; click those checks to add images to your basket.
The selection basket (circled in red in the figure above) will show you how many items you have in your basket, their size, and how long it will take to download them over a dial-up connection (56 Kbps). You can click the Review basket link to take a look at what’s in there and remove items if necessary by unchecking them.
From here, you can click the Download x Items link on the main part of the screen. (You can also click that link in the Selection Basket section on the left-hand side, without reviewing your items.)
Once you click that link, you will get technical instructions on how to download the items.
Once you click the Download Now button (and then the Open button if necessary), the Microsoft Office Clip Organizer will open. (We’ll talk more about that tool later.) You can close out of that window, and your clips will now be stored on your computer for future use
