SECTION 3
Lesson 3.5: Using Objects

You can group objects together so that when one object is moved, resized, or transformed, those edits apply to all objects in the group. This is really useful when you have created a multiple-layer picture, for example, and you want all the pieces to stay together when you move it.

To group objects, hold the Ctrl key and select the objects that need to be grouped together. Then, click the Draw menu and click Group.

Now when you select one of the objects, all the objects in the group will be selected.

You can edit or move these objects as a group by using the same commands you would use for one object.

You can also edit the individual items by clicking the group and then clicking one item.

To add to the group, just select the group and the additional items. Click the Draw menu and click Group again.

To remove items from the group, select that item. Then, click the Draw menu and click Regroup.

To disband the group entirely, select the group. Then click the Draw menu and click Ungroup.
