Open
Microsoft Office Word
2003. (If Word is already open, create a blank document.) |

Click the
Tools menu,
choose Macro, and
click Security.

In the macro security dialog box, click
Medium and click
OK.

Click the
Tools menu,
choose Macro, and
click Record New Macro.

In the Record Macro dialog box, type
SampleMacro for
the name.
In the Store Macro In drop-down menu,
ensure All Documents
(Normal.dot) is selected.
In the Description, ensure the
date and
your name is
entered.
Click
OK.

In the main document, your actions are now
being recorded. Perform these steps:

Change your font to
Informal Roman,
20,
Bold,
Light Blue.

Type Winter is my
favourite season!
-
Press Enter
twice.
-
Click the Insert
menu, choose Picture,
and click From File.
Choose winter.jpg
from the Exercise Files folder and click
Insert.

Now, click the
Stop Recording
button ( ). |

Create a
new blank document. |

Press
Alt and
F8 to open the
macros dialog box.

Ensure
SampleMacro is
selected in the main pane on the left.
Click
Run. |

Your macro will be run in the current
document. Note that font colour was
not retained.

Save your document as
