You can also use macros to change how Word behaves. If you give a macro a name for an already existing command, that macro will run when that command is executed. Let’s say that you create a macro called FileClose that adds formatting to your document. By naming it FileClose, it’s now attached to the Close command, so it will be run automatically when you close Word.
If you do this by accident, just rename your macro and the original command will be restored.
