When you’re creating a Web page in Word, the Web Tools toolbar can be your best friend! This is what it looks like:
You’ll notice that many of the buttons are familiar: we have scripting and forms tools along with some new items. Let’s go through each command just to make sure we understand them all.
Note that inserting any object will automatically place you in design mode. This mode shows markers (like the top and bottom of a page or form) that won’t be seen when the Web page is published or printed, but will be visible to you to help you design your Web page.
As well, when in design mode you can modify fields, areas, buttons, and other elements. When in normal mode, these elements can be used but cannot be modified. For example, in design mode you can delete or resize a checkbox but you cannot check it. In normal mode, the box can be checked or unchecked but not modified.
