Lesson 2.2: Managing Web Pages

   

 

 

Let’s say that last year, you wrote a paper on learning styles that would be perfect for your Web site. But it’s in a .doc format; do you have to re-type it all over again? Of course not! You can easily convert it into the same file type you’re using for your Web site. For example, to convert any document to HTML simply open it and then save it in HTML format.

 

 

(You can, of course, use any of the other .html types if that is how you saved your other pages.)

 

In the Save As dialog box seen above, you can see that Word has filled in the page title for us from the first line in the document and has kept the file name the same. Once we click Save, Word will change our view to Web layout:

 

 

Now we can edit this document and make it suitable for our Web site.
