The next tab we’ll
look at is the Print tab. (You can also access this dialog box by
clicking the File menu, clicking Print, and clicking Options.)

As you can see,
there are four sections to this tab.
|
Printing options |
Control what
happens during printing. |
|
Include with
document |
Choose what
you want to be printed with
your document. |
|
Options for current
document only |
These two
options will not be retained for future documents. |
|
Options for Duplex
Printing |
If your
printer supports duplex printing, here’s where you can control
the options. |
Next up is the Edit
tab. As you might expect, this is where you can control editing options.

There are only three
sections to this tab.
|
Editing |
Control
general editing options for selecting text, typing, styles, and
graphics. |
|
Cut and paste
options |
The choices
in this section are pretty limited, but you can click the
Settings button for more options. |
|
Click and type |
Enable or
disable Click and Type styles, and choose the default paragraph
style. |
Next we’ll look at
the Save tab.

This tab has even
fewer sections; just two!
|
Save options |
You can set
not only save options, but also enable backups and AutoRecover.
You can also choose to embed fonts and/or Smart Tags into your
documents. |
|
Default format |
Choose what
format you want to use as the default for documents that you
save. You can also disable newer features in
Microsoft Office
Word 2003 to make your
documents more compatible with older versions. |
