Lesson 1.5: Toolbar Specifics

   

 

 

The next set of toolbars we’re going to look at will help you perform language-related tasks like inserting AutoText and performing a word count.

 

The AutoText toolbar looks like this:

 

 

Here’s a list of each of its commands:

 

Opens the AutoText dialog box.

Opens a list of all AutoText entries.

Creates a new AutoText entry. It is only available when text is selected.

 

Next is the Word Count toolbar.

 

 

This can quickly provide you with a word count of your document. Click the drop-down menu (Click Recount to View) if you want to pick another element to count (such as characters, pages, or paragraphs) and then click Recount to display the count. The count will not update automatically; you must click Recount every time you want to see your new total.
