Lesson 2.2: Using Bullets and Numbering

Open Microsoft Office Word 2003.

Open the Bullet Sample document from your sample files folder.

Select the block of red text.

Click the Format menu and click Bullets and Numbering.

On the Bullets tab, click any bullet style.

Click Customize.

In the Customize dialog box, click the Picture button in the Bullet Character section.

Pick any picture and click OK.

For Bullet position, type .75.

For Tab space after and Indent at, type 2.

Click OK.

 

 

5.

Place your cursor in front of the text Sub-item 2.2. Press Tab once.

Place your cursor in front of the text Sub-item 2.2. Press Tab twice.

Place your cursor in front of the text Sub-item 2.2. Press Tab once.

Repeat this step with the rest of the sub-items.

 

 

6.

Select the block of dark blue text.

 

 

 

7.

Click the numbering button () on the formatting toolbar.

Select the block of light blue text.

 

 

 

9.

Click the Format menu and click Bullets and Numbering.

Click the Numbering tab.

Click the numbering style that was used for the dark blue text.

Click Continue Numbering.

Click OK.

Save your document to your desktop as Bullet Sample Complete.
